Hello Everyone! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Megan Alley. I am a 25 year old Process Supervisor at Domino Sugar. When I am not at Domino Sugar with my favorite coworkers, I enjoy spending my free time as a gym fanatic, volunteering for BMORE Kids, and hanging out with my friends. Over the last couple of years I have discovered the physical, emotional, and mental benefits on my body from my time in the gym. Now that I am where I want to be physically, I am ready to use my physical fitness for a purpose greater than myself. This opportunity to raise money for cancer awareness could not have come at a better time, as I recently lost my Uncle Mike to cancer. On Memorial Day 2018 my uncle was diagnosed with cancer and succumbed to cancer four short weeks later.
HERE IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT! A group of us will be running the P2P journey together. We will be running from Locust Point, Baltimore, to the southern most point of Key West, Florida. We will begin our adventure on September 15, 2018 and end on September 22, 2018. This is how you can help! I am pledging to raise $5,000 for the Ulman Cancer Foundation. Megan Alley
The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:
Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.
UCF House - a “home away from home” to provide free housing for young adult cancer patients, and their caregivers, in East Baltimore.
Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer experience and long-term cancer survival.
Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
