I'm so excited to share that this September, I will be participating in Point to Point 2018 through the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults! I will be a part of a team setting out on a 1,500 mile journey from Locust Point in Baltimore, MD to the Southernmost Point in Key West, FL. We will run or walk 2-3 hours each day to raise awareness of young adult cancer and spread the mission of the Ulman Cancer Fund: to change lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. In addition to running each day, we will visit cancer centers and communities in each city to raise awareness and connect young adults and their loved ones to the Ulman Cancer Fund. My goal is to raise $4,500 for this journey that will support the amazing programs and services at Ulman.
I have no doubt in my mind that every person we meet in life has been impacted by the devastating effects of cancer, in way one or another. Whether you yourself have been diagnosed or a parent, loved one, friend, or acquaintance, the shock waves that can be felt by a cancer diagnosis are endless. It couldn’t be more clear that vital support programs and services continue to be needed for those who have been impacted by cancer. My goal for this experience is to raise as much awareness regarding these needs and services as possible and to support and listen to those I meet along this incredible journey!

The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:
Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.
UCF House - a “home away from home” to provide free housing for young adult cancer patients, and their caregivers, in East Baltimore.
Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer experience and long-term cancer survival.
Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
