This September I will be going on a 1,500+ mile run from Baltimore, MD to the Southernmost Point, Key West, FL. I will be doing this run through the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, which is a great organization that helps young adults who have been impacted by cancer. I am doing this trip so I can create a way to support and fund the fight against cancer. The mission of the trip is to raise awareness, as well as bring people together and inspire hope. We will be visiting cancer patients at hospitals and cancer centers, as well as raising awareness of the Ulman Cancer Fund's mission throughout the towns we stop at along the way.
I am reaching out to you to help support this experience through a donation. As one of the participants for this journey I have accepted the challenge to raise $4,500.00 or more before we start our trip in September. Some of the money will go towards supporting the trip but the majority of the funds will go to the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
This trip means a lot to me because as many of you may know I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma 4 years ago when I was a sophmore in college. I have always thought there had to be reason or purpose that I was diagnosed with cancer. I knew that I had to give back and help people who were suffering worse than myself. This trip gives me the opportunity to do exactly that and I am determined to meet the fundraising goal as well as complete the journey and dedicate every day I run to people who have been affected by this disease. I ask you to pass this on to whomever you feel may be interested in aiding my fundraising efforts. I truly appreciate all of your support and thank you for your help!

The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:
Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.
UCF House - a “home away from home” to provide free housing for young adult cancer patients, and their caregivers, in East Baltimore.
Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer experience and long-term cancer survival.
Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
