Over the past 5 years I have had the privelige of meeting some pretty amazing and inspiring young adults who run 4000 miles from San Francisco to Baltimore who are dedicated to changing lives and ensuring no young adult faces cancer alone. Since 2013 Team Baltimore has made Immanuel Lutheran in Evansville one of their rest stops. I love being able to be a part of "spoiling" them but most of all love just getting to know them and learning about their "Why" for this 4000 mile trip on foot. These groups have raised thousands of dollars along the way for the many programs offered through UCF.
I have stepped outside of my box and have joined the 2018 Point to Point Team. In September I will be embarking on a 1500+ mile Experience from Locust Point, Baltimore, MD to the Southernmost Point, Key West FL. I am doing this trip in order to create an avenue of funding and support for the fight against cancer. Our mission is to raise awareness, unite communities, and inspire hope toward the eradication of cancer. We will be doing this by visitin gcancer patients at hospitals and cancer centers, as well as raising awareness about UCF's mission in the towns we stop in along the route.
As I take on this journey there are many that I will be running for along the way who have been affected by cancer. I will accomplish my goal of raising over $5,000 and set forth on our run, dedicating my quest to the family and loved ones you may know who have battled cancer. I truly appreciate your support and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:
Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.
UCF House - a “home away from home” to provide free housing for young adult cancer patients, and their caregivers, in East Baltimore.
Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer experience and long-term cancer survival.
Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
