On November 10th, Adan, Ian, Ryan and Richard will be Cycling to Inspire. You are absolutely lying to yourself if you say you have never met or known someone who has been affected by cancer. Between The four of us, we have a lymphoma and brain cancer survivor so our motivation is beyond fueled. We plan on partaking in a 4 hour spinathon where all of the proceeds will go to promote the young adult cancer awareness. We choose here and now to get involved because actions speak louder than words.
Please read below to find out about all the great programs that UCF offers for those affected by this terrible disease. Especially check out what is probably our favorite project, the Ulman House, a collection of several connected row homes in East Baltimore where young adult patients can stay for free while receiving treatment at many of the great hospitals our city has to offer. Literally blocks away from Johns Hopkins. Your donations help make these programs possible.
Cycle to Inspire is a four-hour indoor cycling event hosted at Baltimore Soundstage on Saturday, November 10, 2018. The event will feature teams of four riders each spinning for one 45-minute session led by Baltimore’s best spin instructors. Individual participants have the option to complete all four sessions on a Challenge Bike. Cycle to Inspire challenges participants to #BEMORE by raising funds and awareness for young adults impacted by cancer in the Baltimore community. The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. We are able to accomplish our mission through Direct Services and Programs that better the lives of young adults impacted by cancer. One of those services is our Young Adult Patient Navigation program that serves patients remotely and on-site at our partner facilities, the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, the University of Maryland Marlene & Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, Children’s National Medical Center, the John P. Murtha Cancer Center at Walter Reed National Medical Center, and MedStar Health Systems. The proceeds from this event will also help to fuel the ongoing support of running Ulman House, a home away from home for young adults seeking cancer treatment in Baltimore.
