Eric Burneson's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my UCF K2K fundraising page. On April 9, 2016, I will join a team of cyclists whose lives have been changed by cancer. We will ride from Baltimore to Key West. It will be a long and challenging journey. I will be inspired throughout by the memory of my son Henry who had a long and difficult journey that ended with his death on October 16, 2015. Throughout his journey, Henry was surrounded by family, friends and caregivers who gave him comfort and encouragement as he faced the painful and debilitating effects of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. A huge source of strength and support for Henry was Allie, the teen navigator at Children's National Medical Center. Allie did everything from playing video games for hours to creating a special prom for Henry to enjoy with his lovely girlfriend Laurel. Allie's position at CNMC and other patient navigator positions throughout the Baltimore Washington area are made possible by donations to the Ulman Cancer Fund For Young Adults (UCF). ABOUT Key to Keys 2016
UCF Key to Keys Experience is a journey that brings together a diverse group of individuals to build a community of support for those affected by cancer. Using cycling as a platform, Key to Keys participants come together throughout the journey to share their individual cancer connections and give out as much support to others as they are receiving.
