Family & Friends-
This summer I am taking on a new challenge in order to support by wife and daughters in their Iron Girl Triatholon relay. So I have signed up for the Pedal & Paddle event in Columbia, MD. I will be biking to the 23 different pools in the area, and swimming 50 meters in each one. It will be total of 46 mile ride and 1,150 meter swim. Why am I doing this? Is it to get fit? Yes. Is it to be part of my family's workouts? Yes. Is it fun? Yes. But mostly? It's because it's important to raise awareness about cancer and helping those that that have to deal with it. Sometimes I don't want to get up and ride the bike or go to swim practice. But folks fighting cancer don't have those choices, they have to fight everyday. So it reminds me it's the least I can do to help out. So cancer has affected many members of my family, and I hope that one day they find a cure. In the meantime, I want to continue to make my small contribution to those that have to deal with cancer.
