As you may have heard, a group of us are growing out our beards for 82 days in an attempt to raise money for the Ulman Cancer Fund.  In case your wondering how it works, I sit around concentrating on growing my beard to the best of my ability, and you donate to the Ulman Cancer Fund to show your appreciation for my effort and to help a great cause.  It makes about as much sense as donating money so that I can run a race somewhere.  In fact, it makes more sense, as running a race is kind of fun and is good for the runner so it isn't much of a sacrifice.  In my short experience, I find growing a beard to be tedious, itchy, and a tremendous sacrifice.  Take a good look at all the other participants in this event.  Realize that they are doing the world a favor by covering their ugly mugs with thick beards.  Take a look at me.  Realize that the patchy beard shown in this photo is in no way an improvement on my appearance (although, in all fairness, it is a bit hard to improve upon perfection!).

Seriously, though, please take a few minutes out of your day to donate to this worthwhile cause.
